Listed below are the following "Families" or "Strains" we are currently building upon. We hope that you will appreciate our "Family" of birds as much as we do. If you would like more information on a "Family" or have something we may be willing to purchase, trade for, or breed from, please feel free to contact us here at Timber Lofts.

"Wonder"

This foundation is built upon non-other then "The Wonder Cock", 86-NL-244678 the full son of "De Soest", 82-NL-473738, 2nd Ace Pigeon of Holland. Our stock comes from a Direct Son of "The Wonder Cock" - "Wonderboy", 95-OHF-5016. We are currently breeding from (1) Son and (1) Daughter of "Wonderboy" when paired to "Victoria", 96-IHC-2451, bred by Vic Miller. We also have (2) GSon's and (2) GDaughter's of "Wonderboy". New for 2008 our very own bred bird, "Smoldering Wonder", 07-OCALA-134 who is a GGSon of "Wonderboy" placed 45/121M, 48/140M, 21/140M & 15/306M, YB's. He holds a 4th Place Diploma -Club, 4th Place Diploma - Combine and 28th Place Florida Federation vs. 1880 Birds, 143 Lofts at 370M (Top 10%) and also placed 27/116M, 28/181M, 9/214M, 17/222M & 6/451M, '08 OB's, has been added to this core of Breeders.

Vande Ven

Originally obtained from Club President, Wim (Bill) Vande Ven of the Ocala Club. This group of birds are a combination of a few "Strains" such as "Deams" - "Ganus" - "Super 73" - "Aarden" - "V. Muller" to name a few. We are in the process of breeding these Excellent Racers, Breeders or BOTH into a powerhouse! Out of the 9 individual birds we have for breeding, 6 of them are Multiple Diploma Winners (3 or More), 2 have produced Multiple Diploma Winners and 1 is a One Loft Race Winner. One of our very own bred from this family already "Time to Chime", 07-OCALA-130 placed 10/140M, 13/140M & 7/306M, YB's and also placed 10/116M, 26/221M, 23/214M & 25/370M, '08 OB's. He was added into this family to balance out the pairs.

Houben

This is one of our newest "Families" for 2008. I have studied their results as a group but never found any that I wanted to bring in, until now. We got lucky when we were given a few breeders by a Club Member, David Eberst of Archer, FL. Our foundation hen to this group is "La Salle", 02-GRPU-0498 as she is a 2 time Diploma Winner as a YB and she is also the Dam of the 2nd Place Gold Band Winner (Ocala Club Race), winning $1500.00 in prize money. I bred her to a "Houben" cock from the UTEN Club in Springhill, FL raising 6 for this year's YB Team. I hope they do good for us!

Greiner

This group of breeders come from Bob Greiner of Lacanto, FL. Bob flies with us in the CCPF Combine. From 40 birds donated to us, ONLY 5 were selected for stock. I am unclear on the true "Family" as Bob doesnt keep pedigree's only race sheets and diploma's. Kept for stock though are four Diploma Winners and one 3 time Diploma Winner. This is our 1st year breeding from them but they look great thus far.

Graziano

This group of excellent fliers are from our Club Member, the late John Graziano who passed in Dec. 2007. John will always be missed as he was a great friend and competitor on race day. I am currently in the process of obtaining any pedigree information on his birds as most of them were bred by other fanciers. But what I was given are some great birds non-the less as most, if not all of them are either Diploma Winners or consistant fliers.

Mortvedt

As you are aware we offer White Bird Release's to clients. So, we needed not only good white homers, we felt we needed some of the best. So I contacted Roger Mortvedt of Devore, CA to see what he still may have. I was fortunate to beable to purchase 2 birds direct from his best Long Distance Line such as "Champion Blue Magic" and "Champion Blue Trick" both AU Champions. Along with those, I purchased some solid whites from Tom Barnhart of Lima, OH and Ken Weyer of Jasper, IN who also has Mortvedt Whites. My foundation hen thus far is "Selena", 05-LIMA-5149 as she has already produced Diploma Winners for us her 1st year at stock.
